Announcement – Worship Service in Church Building
Hello and blessings to all,
This is the weekly update to our church family. As Dustin alluded in church Sunday, the board has approved holding two services each Sunday in our church building beginning this Sunday, June 21. There are conditions and limited seating. There will continue to be a Facebook Live broadcast on Sundays but at 9:30 a.m.
Because we are limiting seating to help us ensure physical distancing as much as possible, we are requesting that you register to attend either the 9:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. service by going to the church website bastropcc.org. From your smartphone, on the Home page, open the Menu in the upper right corner and click on the Registration Request page appears under “Home”, click on it. On your PC hover the cursor over “Home” and the Registration Request page will appear, click on this. If you do not have access to the Internet, call the church office, leave your name and phone number and someone will call to register you. Registration is open until noon Thursdays and confirmations will be sent (email or phone call) on Fridays.
We are also asking that everyone please bring a mask or other face covering and be prepared to wear it during the entire service. Finally, please arrive few minutes early as we will be using non-contact, digital thermometers to assess everyone’s temperature before entering the Sanctuary.
Please understand that there is no adult Sunday School, no children’s service (Sunday School or BLAST) and no church nursery. If you are ill, been exposed to the Coronavirus or at special risk due to medical conditions or age, please stay home for the broadcast on Facebook Live and YouTube.
Thanks again to the entire church family for your patience and prayers. Blessings to all.
We are a multi-generational family of faith worshiping our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in the heart of historic downtown Bastrop, TX (aka the most historic small town in Texas). We love our city and the role that our congregation has played throughout it's history. We are proud of our past and excited for our present and future of continuing the legacy of inviting all people to gather at the Banqueting Table of Christ.
Historically, our congregation has had its roots in the Disciples of Christ, the oldest protestant denomination founded on American soil. (Learn more)
The founders of our movement coined the phrase: "We are Christians only, but not the only Christians." Bastrop Christian Church is a faith family made up of people who come from just about every denominational background. But when we come together and gather at the Lord's Table, we are one in Christ.
